Abstract Heterogeneous networks introduce a diversity gain that enhances the overall network performance. In this thesis, we exploit e{uFB03}cient radio resource allocation strategies to address two main challenges. First, we address the problem of the In-device coexistence (IDC) interference. Second, we address the secrecy challenges of heterogeneous networks by utilizing the network diversity to share information to the intended receivers while keeping it secure from existing nearby eavesdroppers |
