The study groups were classified according to albuminuria stages: group (1) included 20 patients of type2 diabetes with normal albuminuria. group (2) included 20 patients of type2 diabetes with microalbuminuria. group (3) included 20 patients of type2 diabetes with macroalbuminuria. group (4) included 20 healthy control subjects. Result: mean of galectin-9 decreased in patient groups (G1, G2 and G3) compared to control group (G4) but not significant at (P>0.05). Mean of galectin- 9 significantly elevated in control group (G4) compared to group 2 (type2 diabetes with micro-albuminuria) and group 3 (type2 diabetes with macro-albuminuria) (P<0.05). The mean of OX-LDL significantly elevated in patient groups (G1, G2 and G3) compared to control group (G4) at (P<0.001) |
