Abstract

The lack of the standardized terms in gynecologic imaging, especially those related to adnexal pathology has become a cause of concern. There have been previous efforts involving characterization and management of the adnexal masses as seen on ultrasound. Ultrasonography continued to be the primary and the most commonly used imaging modality for evaluation of the adnexal masses. The Ovarian-Adnexal Reporting and Data System (O-RADS) Committee was created under the direction of the ACR, with the target of creating an integrated lexicon that would allow the emergence and development of a practical, effective &uniform vocabulary for characterizing the different imaging features of different adnexal masses. The Ovarian-Adnexal Reporting and Data System (O-RADS) lexicon involved all descriptors and definitions of the distinctive US looking of normal ovaries and ovarian or other adnexal masses.Enrolled on this study 61 female patients with their age ranging from20 to72 years old presented by pelvic pain in (96.7%) while (32.8%) were presented by pelviabdominal enlargement.istopathological results of the operated 52 cases with 61 lesions ;(37.7%) of patients had benign adnexal lesions, while (62.3%) of patients had malignant adnexal lesions.
