Abstract
The present study was carried out at the Rabbits Research Laboratory belonging to Animal and Fish Production Department, Faculty of Agriculture (Saba Basha), Alexandria University. from July - September 2017. This present study was designed two experiments were conducted.
This study was designed to evaluate the effect of two forms of onion (powder - juice) on the quality of semen, some blood characteristics and components of sperm plasma, hematological measurements, biochemical components of blood serum and some immunological and antioxidant measurements in the spring and summer.
This experiment was designed A 2 x 5 factorial was prepared in the spring and summer seasons, 5 onions (control without any addition, onion juice at 1.5 and 3 ml / kg BW, onion powder at two levels 400 and 800 mg / kg diet). A total of 30 male V-Line rabbits were tested for fertility. Thirty males were used during the spring season (April-June 2017) with an average body weight of 3.33± 0.03 kg and 30 males during the summer season (July to September 2017). The average initial body weight of 3.46±0.03 in the present study was randomized to five treatments per treatment consisting of 6 males.
