Abstract
Six healthy completely edentulous patients received mandibular and maxillary conventional dentures. The patients were randomly classified into two equal groups according to denture settlement before inserting implants into : group (A) At time of inserting the immediately loaded implants, group (B) 4 weeks settlement before inserting the immediately loaded implants. Perimplant soft tissue health and implant stability tests were done immediately (T0), after three (T3) and six months (T6) of immediate loading of the implants. Conclusion : Within the limitations in this study it can be concluded that, denture settlement before installting the immediately loaded implants used for assisting mandibular complete overdenture is more beneficial regarding the peri-implant tissue’s health and implant stability. Recommendation : Additional researches on a larger number of patients and employing alternative techniques of evaluation with longer study period is recommended to verify the effects of settling before inserting the immediately loaded 2 implants utilized for assisting mandibular complete overdenture.
