Abstract

Background : The use of vascularized bone grafts from the dorsum of the distal radius for the treatment of Kienböck’s disease may prevent ongoing lunate collapse and provide relief of wrist symptomatology. Patients and method: Fifteen patients were treated by using the technique of pedicled vascularized bone graft from the dorsum of the distal radius based on the 4-5 extensor compartment artery with temporary scapho-capitate percutaneous K-wire pinning for 8-12 weeks until revascularization. Follow up by using Visual Analouge Score (VAS) , range of motion and grip strength, Modified Mayo Wrist Score(MMWS) , Quick-Disability of Arm Shoulder and Hand ( Q-DASH) , Radiographic evaluation & MRI
