Abstract

Multicomponent formulations have gained a lot of importance nowadays due to greater patient acceptability, increase potency, multiple action, and quick relief. Simultaneous estimation of drugs in combination is an important part in the field of pharmacy as it avoids time of extraction, separation and gets accurate and precise results. This concept was applied in some combinations of drugs used to treat nausea and vomiting in pregnancy like Pyridoxine HCl, Cyclizine HCl, and Meclozine HCl besides to Ritodrine HCl which used to arrest premature labor. Analysis of process-related impurities is very important in the pharmaceutical industry. The possibility of side and toxic effects, and reduced activity of the active substances must be reduced to a minimum. For this reason, different analytical techniques were developed for determination of the studied drugs in presence of their impurities. Aim of the work Development of rapid, economic, and selective methods for the analysis of the cited drugs in raw materials and in their pharmaceutical formulations without interference from their additives and impurities. Adoption as possible ecofriendly analytical methods as alternative to reported methods for determination of the studied drugs. Validation of the newly developed procedures according to ICH guidelines and application of the selected methods of analysis for determination of the studied drugs in their pharmaceutical dosage forms and biological fluids
