Abstract

Novel sensors, based on carbon nanotubes/ionic liquid crystal modified with different oxides, were introduced for the first time for the electrochemical determination of some biological compounds exhibiting higher electro-catalytic activity compared to unmodified electrodes. The composite [GC/(ILC-CNTs)/Fe₃O₄)] is used as a successful NADH biosensor. New insights in fabrication of a sensitive carbon based electrochemical sensor, [GC/(ILC-CNTs)/CuO], are presented for determination of vitamin B₆ (PY). The effect of type of ionic liquid and its amount mixed with CNTs have been studied and optimized. In addition, CNTs modified glassy carbon electrode with glycine and Ý-CD, GC/(CNTs-Gly)/CD, has been applied for the electrochemical determination of some neurotransmitters especially DOPAC. Sr₂PdO₃ nano-inorganic perovskite has been prepared via glycine-nitrate combustion method. The characterization of the prepared nano-perovskite, morphological and structural identification, was done using SEM and TEM techniques. GC/(CNTs-Sr₂PdO₃) sensor shows high electro-catalytic activity toward dobutamine oxidation. In general, the proposed sensors exhibited superior performance toward the determination of the studied compounds, neurotransmitters and drugs, in terms of selectivity, wide linearity range, sensitivity, low detection limit, applicability in real samples, good stability and anti-interference ability
