Abstract The study of Dypsis pembana (H.E.Moore) Beentje & J. Dransf. includes: Part І: Botanical study:1. Macro-morphological study of the different organs of D. pembana (stem and leaves). 2. Micro-morphological study of the leaves of this plant aiming to identify the leaves in both the entire and powdered forms.Part ІІ: Phytochemical study:1- Preliminary phytochemical screening of the leaves of D. pembana. 2- Isolation and identification of the constituents of the leaves of D. pembana using different methods of spectral analysis.Part ІІІ: Biological study:Preliminary pharmacological investigation of different fractions and isolated compounds, including available methods for the following studies:1- Antioxidant activity. 2- Cytotoxic activity.3- Antidiabetic activity.Aiming to provide a new source of natural compounds with important phytochemical and biological values.Part ІV: Docking study:The isolated compounds will be screened for anticancer activity. So, molecular docking will be carried out for the isolated compounds on: 1. X-ray Co-crystal structure of human Topoisomerase IIα in complex with DNA and etoposide.2. X-ray Co-crystal structure Cyclin-dependent kinase 2 in complex with Sunitinib. |
