Abstract In this work, modified carbon paste electrodes (MCPEs) were used to determine alfuzosin hydrochloride (ALFHC) in pure, pharmaceutical preparation and biological fluid samples. Different MCPEs modified with different ion pairs as ALF-PTA, ALF-TPB, ALF-PMA and ALF-RN were prepared. The second part of this work is to determine vilazodone hydrochloride drug by the potentiometric calibration method. Several screen printed electrodes (SPEs) were prepared and modified with different ion pairing agents as NaTPB, RN, PTA and PMA. The proposed electrodes gave the Nernstian slope and showed good selectivity to VILA with respect to the interfering species. The electrodes were characterized and investigated with respect to the experimental parameters affecting their performance including plasticizers, pH, interference and life time. The electrodes showed good selectivity to the drugs under study with respect to the interfering species. Then, validation parameters were achieved. The obtained results were in a good agreement with those obtained by the reported method |
