Their body mass index (BMI)did not exceed 30 kg/m2. Duration of this study was 1 year from August 2017 to August 2018. They were divided randomly into two groups equal in number (A and B). group A (control group ) received medical treatment only in the form of purelan 100 cream only, group B were treated by (bioptron light therapy ) for 10 minutes, 5 days for 2 succesive weeks in addition to purelan 100 cream. All women in both groups (A and B) were assessed pre and post treatment through assssing pain intensity using visual analogue scale (VAS) and pain quality using Mc Gill pain questionnaire (MPQ) and wound healing by photographing the cracked nipple before and after 2 weeks of treatment and grading the improvement in pain and wound healing using storr scale. Results of this study showed that with in groups (A and B) There was a statistically significant decrease in breast pain measurements and wound healing of cracked nipples measurements after treatment in favour to group (B). in compare between median values of VAS,MPQ and photographic wound assessment after treatment revealed there was Significant difference between both groups (A and B) (P-value < 0.001) in favor to group B
