Abstract Two pot experiments was consummated in under plastic house at nursery of, horticulture research Institute, agricultural research center (ARC), Giza, Egypt throughout the two successive seasons of 2016 and 2017 seasons to find out the effect of NPK at different levels (0.0, 1.0, 2.0 g/pot ) and some fertilization treatments phosphorien at (2.5 and 5.0 g/pot), humic acid at (2.5, and 5.0 ml/L), potassein-N and potassein-P each at (1.5 and 3.0 ml/L) and their different combinations of the treatments on vegetative, flowering growth and chemical constituents of Ixora coccinea L. plant. The obtained results indicated that various fertilization treatments applied in this study increased means of the different vegetative parameters (plant height, stem diameter, No. of leaves/plant, root length and fresh and dry weight of leaves and roots) and flowering parameters (number of flower, diameter of flower (mm) and fresh and dry weight (g) of flower of plants with various significance levels as compared to control means in the two seasons. However, combined treatments gave better results than the other individual ones, with the mastery of humic acid at 5 ml/L combined with 2.0 g/pot NPK, which recorded the most high means in both seasons. A similar trend was also observed as well regarding the content of chlorophyll a, b, carotenoids, in leaves as well as, the flowers content of anthocyanin, N, P, K and total soluble sugars % but the total indoles and phenols content were decreased. Hence, it is recommended to fertilize Ixora coccinea L. 3 months-old grown in 20-cm diameter plastic pots filled with about 2.5 kg of a mixture of peatmoss, perlit and cocopeat (1:1:1 by volume) under plastic house conditions with a combination of humic acid at 5 ml/L with 2.0 g/pot NPK ,during the growing season with 1 month interval to get the best quantity and quality parameters of vegetative and flowering growth |
