Abstract Objectives: Apraxia is a common sequal of cerebrovascular insults that usually occurs in males more than females. Apraxia usually coexists with communication disorders as aphasia and dysarthria. Different types of apraxia may present in the same patient and this raises the concern to design a holistic multidimensional assessment of the various motor programming skills to help diagnose underlying motor programming difficulties which have secondary effects on, speech, and swallowing. Consequently, this will shed light on various defects that has to be incorporated in the patient’s remediation programs to achieve better functional outcomes. Methods: pilot study was carried out on 10 patients. Afterwards participants under study were subjected to aphasia test, and both the quality of life questionnaire and assessment protocol of motor programming skills that were designed in this study |
