Management plays a crucial role in raising poultry that aid in maximizing production efficiency. Therefore, this study was undertaken to investigate the influence of some managemental factors on behavioral, physiological, production, meat quality and reproductive traits of Japanese quails. seven-hundred-fifty-two chicks were randomly allocated into three separated trails: different light-emitting diode (LED) colors, different feed-withdrawal (FW) periods and exposure to predator odors and environmental enrichment (240, 192 and 320 Japanese quails chicks, respectively). In LED light colors trail, Red LED light improved the quails’ growth, carcass and meat quality traits and produced heavier eggs with higher external and internal egg-quality traits. However, quail hens reared under blue and green light had the best fertility and hatching results. In FW periods trail, Feed withdrawal program improved the quails’ growth, carcass, and meat quality traits. However, 16 hrs. fasted quails suffer from degeneration of the GIT. In exposure to predator odors and environmental enrichment trail, environmental enrichment improved the quails’ behavior, growth, carcass and meat quality traits and improved the fertility and hatchability percentage. Although birds exposed to predator odors showed improved growth traits, but they showed behavioral and physiological indicators of stress. These results support the previous belief of the importance of the proper management on different productive traits in the quail industry.
