Abstract
Abstract:
The significance of the study of wood lies in the role of this material as it played an important role in Fine and Applied Arts in the Old Kingdom. This research aims to shed some light on the most important species of Egyptian wood and foreign wood in ancient Egypt. Besides, the study aims to appear and explain the different uses of these woods in ancient Egypt in the Old Kingdom. Finally the study aims to explain the most important wooden industries from the Old Kingdom which are found now in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo to promote the touristic to support the visit the museum and historical areas which related to this period.
