Abstract The River Nile is considered as one of the longest rivers in the world; it runs approximately 6,650 km through nine countries from Burundi to Egypt. The River Nile is the artery of Egypt, as it presents for more than 96% of the municipal, industrial and irrigation necessities of Egypt.This study was dedicated to provide data about the effect of pollution at six stations on the River Nile at Rosetta branch (Qanatir Al Khairiyah, El Rahawy, kata, Tamalay, Kom Hamada and Kafer El-zayat.) during the period from August, 2019 to April 2020, using some water physico-chemical parameters, heavy metals analysis in water and sediments and the Zooplankton, macrobenthic invertebrates as biological indicators. |
