Abstract The incidence of renal malignancy increased dramatically during the past few decades ,renal cell carcinoma represents 3-4% of all malignancies worldwide, preoperative multiphasic CT imaging provide useful information regarding pathologic diagnosis in patients before selecting a treatment. The histologic type of RCC is one of the most important prognostic factors with clear cell RCC is the most common type. Patients with chromophobe RCC have the best prognosis with the 5-year survival rate is approximately 90%. Precise prediction of the subtype is helpful for treatment planning, such as determining the degree of preoperative evaluation and the extent of surgery |
