Abstract
Biotransformation is a typical methodology by which chemical modification or alternation of a substrate is mediated by an action of enzymes or by metabolic activities of living cell cultures , like plant, animal and microbial cell cultures. Theses living cell cultures contain a wide range of enzymes which are responsible for particular change of a substrate into new metaboilites. In some cases , biotransformation has been shown to be an important synthesis tool for stereos elective and specific conversion of substrates that are difficult to synthesize by conventional synthetic methods.
