Abstract

Background: A buried penis in adults can be troublesome. The patients universally have lower urinary tract symptoms, the worst of which is the discharge of urine from the buried urethral meatus, to drip over the scrotum and thigh. A complete loss of sexual activity and urinary tract infections have also been reported. Although various reconstructive techniques have been described, no standard for correction of buried penis in adults has been universally accepted. Aim: Reduction of male suprapubic fat by cryolipolysis, non-invasive procedure to increase apparent penile length. Methods: This was a Pilot study of 15 male patients that was conducted to evaluate efficacy of cryolipolysis in improving the apparent penile length. stretched penile length from symphysis pubis to the tip of the glans penis was measured by manual fat retraction, apparent penile length from the skin to the tip of the glans penis using a graduated ruler and supra pubic skin fold thickness using skinfold thickness caliper (adipometer), before starting treatment sessions another measurement will be taken. Results: The average of skin fold suprapubic fat in the first session decreased as we moved to the second, third, and fourth session. Regarding the apparent stretched penile length, while the average length increases as we move from the first session, to the second, the third, and the fourth. Conclusions: It seems that suprapubic cryolipolysis of suprapubic fat is a safe and effective procedure that can help patients with buried penises
