Abstract Synthesis of new derivatives of benzazole (three compounds, ethyl 2-amino-5-(1H-benzo[d]imidazol-2-yl)-4-phenylthiophene-3-carboxylate, ethyl 2-amino-5-(benzo-[d]oxazol-2-yl)-4-phenylthiophene-3-carboxylate, ethyl 2-amino-5-(benzo[d]thiazol-2-yl)-4-phenylthiophene-3-carboxylate) and benzalkonium chloride ionic liquids (12 compounds, N-dodecyl-N,N-dimethylbenzenaminium chloride, N-dodecyl-N,N,4-tri-methylbenzenaminium chloride, 4-chloro-N-dodecyl-N,N-dimethylbenzenaminium chloride, N-dodecyl-N,N-dimethyl-4-nitrobenzenaminium chloride, N,N-dimethyl-N-tetradecylbenzenaminium chloride, N,N,4-trimethyl-N-tetradecylbenzenaminium chloride, 4-chloro-N,N-dimethyl-N-tetradecylbenzenaminium chloride, N,N-dimethyl-4-nitro-N-tetradecylbenzenaminium chloride, N-hexadecyl-N,N-dimethylbenzenamin-ium chloride, N-hexadecyl-N,N,4-trimethylbenzenaminium chloride, 4-chloro-N-hexadecyl-N,N-dimethylbenzenaminium chloride, N-hexadecyl-N,N-dimethyl-4-nitrobenzenaminium chloride). The new compounds are characterized by different techniques such as elemental analysis, Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), and hydrogen nuclear magnetic resonance (1H-NMR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). The anti-corrosion and anti-microbial activities of the new compounds in the field of the petroleum industry were clearly investigated and discussed |
