Abstract In the present thesis, the step-stress accelerated life test with progressive first failure sample is considered. Point and interval estimation for Burr type III distribution parameters and the acceleration factor under step-stress accelerated life test with progressive first failure sample are discussed. Also, mean square error (MSEs) of the maximum likelihood estimators (MLEs) are calculated to estimate their performance and numerical illustrations are discussed. The present thesis consists of four chapters, references, and an Arabic summary.Chapter One, gives an introduction about the present study and what we will introduce in the other chapters. ChapterTwo, introduces some definitions of step-stress accelerated life test, censoring samples and some methods of estimation.This chapter goes on to discuss the properties of the estimators. Chapter Three, introduces a review of the literature dealing under step-stress partially accelerated life test with progressive first failure sample.
