Abstract
Purpose: the purpose of this in vitro study was to evaluate marginal integrity of onlay single restoration using different ceramic materials. Materials and methods: Thirty 3D printed models of ready prepared molar (no. 26) for onlay restoration were fabricated using epoxy resin material and used for fabrication of thirty ceramic onlays. three groups (n=10) of onlays were fabricated using CAD/CAM blocks of three different materials, hybrid material ( nacera hybrid ) , zirconia reinforced lithium disilicate ( celtra duo) and monolithic zirconia ( ceramill zolid ht+). Onlays were designed by using a CAD design software program. The onlays were cemented over their corresponding abutments with an adhesive cement system (Pa66-navia f 2.0) under a static load by using universal testing machine. Digital microscope was used to measure the vertical marginal gap for each group before and after cementation. where a total of 150 measurements for each of the 3 groups (15 sites per onlay and 10 onlays per group) were evaluated. One-way ANOVA test was used to analyze the results, paired sample t-test was used to examine the marginal gap differences of each group before and after cementation.
