Abstract ABSTRACT The current study was carried out to evaluate the effect of different types of insecticides, organophosphate, insect growth regulator and Bio pesticide on field colony and laboratory colony of Culex. pipiens . The laboratory colony showed higher susceptibility to the tested insecticides than the mosquito populations collected from Abo-Rowash City, Giza Governorate , which used to study the development of resistance (resistant strain) to chlorpyrifos ,Diflubenzuron and Bacillus thuranginses israialinsis . Organophosphras insecticide gave the best result against the both type’s colonies. Chloropyrifos was the most effective 100% mortality at 0.1 ug after 72 h of both colonies followed by Bacillus thuranginses with 98.6 and 100% mortality at 10 ug and diflubenzuron with 90.66 and 96% mortality for field colony and laboratory colony, respectively. Our results revealed that organophosphate |
