Abstract
Interestingly, it is yet unknown if progesterone can help in treatment of preeclampsia and its effects. At the moment, progesterone is not utilized in clinical practise for this reason because there is insufficient data to determine the benefits of progesterone for the mother and child. Indeed, a prior assessment concluded that there is insufficient data to suggest that progesterone, either oral or vaginal, can help in treatment of preeclampsia. Additionally, there is scant evidence regarding possible bad outcomes. Indeed, additional research will be necessary to have a better knowledge of progesterone’s effects on the management of this disease.
