Introduction:
As the world changes greatly, education has become the best investment and the keeper of the nation’s heritage. The language is the means of keeping and delivering these changes. This language needs grammar which controls the four skills of a language. To master a language, you have to master grammar.
Statement of the problem:
The problem of the study is formulated in Elazhar primary stage pupils’ poor mastery of Arabic grammatical rules. This might be a result of the teachers’ traditional methods and strategies used in the classroom. Therefore the current study aimed to develop Elazhar primary stage pupils’ achievement in grammar and their speaking skills by using the roundhouse diagram.
Questions of the study:
The present study tried to find answers to the following questions:
1. What is the effect of using roundhouse diagram in teaching grammar on the academic achievement of Elazhar primary six students?
2. What is the effect of using roundhouse diagram in teaching grammar on developing Elazhar primary six students’ speaking skills?
3. Is there a relationship between the academic achievement in grammar for primary six students and their speaking skills?
Significance of the study:
The significance of the study stems from the following considerations:
1. Providing curriculum designers with more effective teaching strategies in teaching Arabic Grammar.
2. Providing teachers with new teaching ways to teach grammar more effectively.
3. Directing other researchers to use new methods of teaching and to keep up with modern progress.
Purpose of the study:
This study aimed to explore the effect of using roundhouse diagram in teaching grammar on the academic achievement and developing speaking skills for Elazhar primary six pupils.

Materials and Instruments:
To carry out this study, the researcher prepared the following:
1. Student book.
2. Teacher’s guide.
3. Speaking skills checklist.
4. Grammar test.
5. Speaking skills test.
Design of the study:
This study adapted the quasi experimental design. Two groups (control and experimental( Were randomly selected from primary six students in Awlad Ismail primary institute. These two groups were pre and post tested.
Results of the study:
The researcher found that using roundhouse diagram in teaching grammar was effective in developing academic achievement and students’ speaking skills.
Recommendations:
1. Encouraging teachers to use new strategies that makes the classroom active.
2. Drawing attention to the importance of grammar and speaking skills.
3. Training Arabic teachers in using roundhouse diagram and providing them with aguide.
