Abstract Recent oil and gas exploration activities in the northern Western Desert of Egypt are focusing on deeper Mesozoic and Paleozoic reservoirs. In this study,an attempt has been made through the use of seismic, petrophysics, gravity, and magnetic data in an integrated fashion to delineate the Paleozoic Shifah Formation and Lower Cretaceous Alam El-Bueib Formation (AEB-3D, AEB-3G, and AEB-6)reservoirs and associated problematic volcanic in four selected wells from the western side of the Shushan basin(GEB-1X, GEB-2X, SHU-1X, and APRIES-1X). |
