Abstract Summary The main findings of the present study were: - The high percentage 18(60.0%) of patients in age group 18-39 years, also there 18(60.0%) in study group was female. About education level, about half of study group 14(46.7%) was secondary education and 11(36.7%) of study group was high education. As regard occupation, about half of study group was office work 16(53.3%) and 11(36.7%) of study group was house wife. The majority of study group 29(96.7%) was married. - No patients have head traumar. About previous neurological problems there was 7(23.3%) of study group have visual disturbance, also about chronic diseases there was 7(230.0%) of study group have hypertension. As regard about current health history there was 22(73.3%) of study group have blurring vision, about investigation there was 28(93.3%) of study group done prothrombin concentration and 25(83.3%) done urine analysis. About diagnostic procedure, there was 27(90.0%) of study group done imaging test or MRI and 29(96.7%) done X-ray and 15(50.0%) done CT. - There were 28(93.3%) of study group patients have vision problems and 8(26.7%) of study group have headaches, with normal Glasgow coma scale and oriented mental status. - The majority of patients were having normal cranial nerves except for optic 25(83.3%) and oculomotor nerves 1(3.3%), regarding motor function 2(6.7%) patients were having involuntary movements. - There was non significance difference (P>0.05) between first day, second day and third day in each of temperature, pulse, respiration and blood pressure. - There was 7(23.3%) of patients have hypertension, also there was 6(20.0%) of patients have large size of tumor, 3(10.0%) of patients have coughing after surgery, 2(6.7%) sneezing after surgery and (3.3%) hereditary atelectasis. - There was 3 (10%) of study patients have nasal bleeding, with mean of frequency 2.77times/day. - There was negative correlation between nasal bleeding and L.H. hormone (P<0.05). - There was significance difference (P<0.05) with large size of tumor as a risk factor for postoperative nasal bleeding after transsphenodial surgery. |
