Abstract

Purpose : To define a comprehensive examination method of the great vessels in the fetal mediastinum, and to evaluate if anomalies of the 3 vessels view, may reflect other fetal anomalies rather than fetal heart. In addition, to analyze the anomalies seen in the three vessels view in fetuses with antenatal diagnosed CHD, specifically defects involving the upper mediastinum (i.e. the outflow tracts and/or great arteries). Results: Sensitivity of three vessels view scan in detection of cardiac anomalies was (100%) which means it can anomalies while specificity was (94.6%), PPV (60%), NPV (100%) and total accuracy of three vessels view scan was 95% which is very high Association between cardiac anomalies and other anomalies. 2 cases presented with Dandy walker syndrome were associated with hypoplastic left heart syndrome while agenesis of corpus callosum, gastrochiasis and left hydronephrosis were associated with normal. Conclusions: Association between cardiac anomalies and other anomalies. 2 cases presented with Dandy walker syndrome were associated with hypoplastic left heart syndrome while agenesis of corpus callosum, gastrochia Association between cardiac anomalies and other anomalies. 2 cases presented with Dandy walker syndrome were associated with hypoplastic left heart syndrome while agenesis of corpus callosum, gastrochiasis and left hydronephrosis were associated with normal sis and left hydronephrosis were associated with normal.
