The current research aimed to build a proposed vision to activate the role of Mansoura University to achieve the goals of sustainable development by benefiting from some of the leading contemporary global experiences in this field. To achieve this, the researcher dealt with the theoretical framework of the research; the following: Conceptual and intellectual framework for sustainable development. The role of the university to promote sustainable development.- Some contemporary global experiences of universities in achieving sustainable development goals. Then she touched on the field study to determine the reality of the role of Mansoura University in achieving the goals of sustainable development, the obstacles that it may face and the requirements for activating this role. The faculties of (Agriculture, Science, Engineering, Commerce, Arts, Education, Physical Education) Mansoura University consisted of (250) faculty members, and the field study reached several results, the most important of which are the following: -Mansoura University’s contribution to a large extent in achieving most of the economic, social, environmental and technological goals of sustainable development. Among the most prominent obstacles facing Mansoura University in achieving the sustainable development goals; the following: Skilled migration of researchers and faculty members abroad. Increasing the burden on faculty members. Increasing social demand by students on the university as a result of the rapid population growth. Lack of balance in the structure of scientific disciplines and increased acceptance of humanitarian disciplines. Weak marketing of research activity among its beneficiaries in the applied field (industrial, agricultural, commercial, service). Limited funding sources available to the university. Preparing a research plan for the faculties of the university that is more related to issues of sustainable development according to the nature of each faculty, and opening channels of communication between the university and local, Arab and international universities and scientific research centers and benefiting from their expertise is one of the most important requirements for activating the role of Mansoura University to achieve the goals of sustainable development.
