Abstract
Klebsiella pneumoniais considered one of the major pathogens causing hospital-acquired infection (HAI), particularly in immunocompromised patients. It is the second commonest cause of Gram-negative bacteraemia (Podschun and Ullmann 1998). In the last decades, the classical K.pneumoniaehas propensity for acquiring antimicrobial resistance leading to appearance of Multi- and Extreme drug resistant strains (Moghadamet al. 2020).
