Summary of the study
First: The problem of the study: -
Homeless children are exposed to many social and psychological problems as a result of their struggle with the environment to satisfy their needs. Therefore, these children are exposed to social, psychological, educational and material problems that impede them from their normal functional performance of the organism where social incompatibility leads to environmental requirements or internal conflict that results in anxiety and individuals try Searching for an escape from the sources of these influences, which is called social maladjustment, through various means.
Social service, as one of the humanitarian professions, can deal with the problem of these homeless children and achieve social harmony for them through its different methods that have proven successful in dealing with multiple social, psychological and behavioral problems, in different fields.
The method of serving the individual as a method of social service is concerned with working with different groups of childhood. Some of them are homeless children and have models and techniques that help them work with these children to achieve social harmony. The problem-solving model in serving the individual is considered one of the approaches that depend on the ability of the social worker to provide the unit with which he deals with the method and the method that they can follow in facing the problems that She meets them as she undergoes processes and procedures related to knowledge This model is based on the basic assumption that clients have the ability to learn and acquire the ability, if given the opportunity for professional help, to successfully work on facing their problems (problems associated with achieving social harmony) and bringing about the appropriate therapeutic change (to achieve social harmony).
Through the theoretical concepts used by the problem-solving model, we concluded that after receiving the professional intervention program, children achieve their social compatibility.
In order to achieve social consensus, the following criteria must be taken into consideration:
1- That the individual accepts others as he accepts himself.
2- That the individual is tolerant of others.
3- The individual’s success in establishing social relations together with others.
4- That the goals of the individual are in line with the goals of others.
5- The individual’s sense of social responsibility among the group members and others.
Based on that, the study problem can be determined in studying the effectiveness of a treatment program using the problem-solving model in achieving social harmony among homeless children.
