Abstract UropathogenicE. coli (UPEC) is a bacterium that colonizes the bladder. UPEC favors long-term investments bacterial hydrophobic interactions also play a role in bacterial adherence to the surface and facilitate biofilm formation which is common among catheterization patients. UPEC were 13% among the isolates obtained from urine samples. In present study we evaluated curli encoding gene (CsgA) that responsible for biofilm formation by PCR, all E.coli isolates were biofilm producer (13%). Three different surfactants (Tween 80, SDS and CTMA) as potential solution for this problem by microtitre plate inhibition assay and we evaluated the antimicrobial activity of different surfactants by cup diffusion method. |
