Abstract The study dealt with ”” The Concept of The Other in The Ideas of Abdullah Ibn Ibrahim Al-Tareeqi””, through an introduction, preface, five chapters and a conclusion, including the most important results and recommendations. The researcher used three approaches: the analytical approach, the comparative approach, and the critical approach. The title of the chapters is as follows: Chapter One: The Other and the Values of Dealing with It, Chapter Two: Guarantees of Respecting the Other in Islam, Chapter Three: The Dhimmi Other and Our Thinking About It, Chapter Four: The Warrior Other, Chapter Five: The Political, Legal and Functional Rights of the Dhimmi Other. The study concluded: that the study of scientific Islamic personalities, their curriculum and their great efforts in the service of religion and the homeland, give the researcher and reader enthusiasm, activity and aspiration in following the path of those great personalities. In defending the Islamic faith and serving its countries for the sake of God Almighty, and that scholars, preachers and those who are jealous throughout the Islamic world know that the goodness of the nation is entrusted to them after God. Therefore, they have to realize the reality and severity of the responsibility and to have a good opinion of them and to fear God Almighty in people, so as not to let them be hijacked by whims and advocates of misguidance. As well as the necessity of dialogue with the other and its importance, because we will not be able to show the tolerant image of Islam except through purposeful and constructive dialogue with the other, by calling for wisdom and good exhortation. Without justification, or a tendency towards leniency and dilution of rulings, both of which are reprehensible, and the Muslim must show the good image of Islam through words, deeds and good dealings with the other so that we show Islam in its true form. |
