Abstract The cervical plexus block produces anesthesia and absence of pain to the head and lower neck area. According to the sort of surgery, the plexus can be blocked either at a superficial or deep level. The superficial branches of the plexus innervate the skin and superficial structures of the lower head, neck, and shoulder. The deep one innervates the muscles of the deep anterior neck and the diaphragm. we studied the analgesic effect of US guided superficial cervical plexus block using bubivacaine with general anesthesia during thyroid surgery in thyroidectomy patients. |
