Abstract

The present thesis is devoted for developing new methods for the analysis of certain drugs that involve nitrogen in their structure, namely : mebendazole, dexlansoprazole, itraconazole, terbinafine, fluconazole and tinidazole, either pure, in their pharmaceutical preparations or/ and in biological fluids. The principles of the proposed procedures as well as the experimental parameters and proposed schemes of the reactions were studied, discussed and explained. Furthermore, the data given were statistically analyzed and compared with those obtained by comparison methods. Different analytical techniques were applied for determination of the studied compounds. Sensitive spectrophotometric and spectrofluorometric methods were proposed for the determination of mebendazole and dexlansoprazole based on derivatization with eosin and mercurochrome respectively. Different experimental parameters were carefully studied, and the methods were successfully applied for the analysis of the studied compounds in their tablets. Synchronous spectrofluoremtry was investigated for the determination of binary mixtures of (ITR/TRH) in pure form, in pharmaceutical preparations and biological fluids. HPLC technique with UV detector was used for analysis of (FLU, ITR and TRH) within 7 minutes. The method was optimized using 23 full factorial design. The developed method was investigated for the determination of the three drugs either in pure form, in pharmaceutical preparations and biological fluids. Simple spectrophotometric methods were applied for determination of FLU in presence of TNZ in synthetic mixtures and combined dosage forms. the methods include ratio derivative, ratio difference, ratio subtraction, dual wavelength and isosbestic point. The validation criteria of the developed methods were intensively studied. All the results were statistically analyzed and compared with those given by comparison methods.
