Abstract In this work, polyurethane foam waste treatment by using potassium permanganate in acidic medium (PUF-COOH@MnO2) from acid modified PUFWs and characterized both of them using IR, UV-V is spectroscopy, bulk conductivity, iodine number, methylene blue value, pHZPC, EDX, XRD and TGA. The novel sorbent has a highly capacity and good stable in acidic and alkaline solutions. The efficiency of sorbent for removing of hazardous compounds e.g. methylene blue and trypan blue from wastewater were investigated with batch and dynamic techniques. Using various mathematical models and the results obtained indicate that confirms the stability of sorbent to remove dyes from wastewater and proved efficient as material absorbent and has a high and stable good capabilities in acidic and alkaline hazardous solutions to remove dyes such as methylene blue and trypan blue from wastewater. I have been using different equations to determine equilibrium isotherm, knowledge of kinetic nature of the materials and diffusion models, as well as the effect of temperature and knowledge of the thermal functions. It is anticipated that PUF-COOH@MnO2 sorbent would find important application in purification dyes and metal ion such as Fe+3 from wastewaters, owing to the advantages of high efficiency, low cost and environmental friendliness. |
