المستخلص

The study illustrated the role played by the international powers (the Soviet Union, Britain and the United States) to move the separatist movements in northern Iran during the period (1941-1947) in which several events occurred, including the Anglo-Soviet invasion of Iran because of the importance of its location and the abundance of oil, which led to the feverish competition between these countries and pushing them to approach them and control their resources. The study also revealed the expansion of the actual (U.S.) presence in Iran during and in its aftermath, and the Shah and the Iranian government rose into the arms of the Western camp for fear of the spread of communism and Soviet expansion, and thus the interests and trends converged under the Cold War, so it is not surprising to find that the U.S. administration does not support separatist movements despite its democratic demands, but supported the Iranian government in eliminating them to achieve their interests and reduce (Soviet influence) and achieve economic dominance over Iran’s economic and oil resources. Due to Iran’s strategic location, where oil is in most of its regions, it has made it a aspi-ration for Germany to have oil that will help it continue the war; and Britain, which also covets its oil, has expanded its influence to secure its transport links with India. Iran has also become coveted by the Soviet Union, which wants to include the northern states of Iran for its land, and to reach the greenhouse waters because its coasts are frozen most of the year, and (the United States of America) also had ambitions in Iran, but it was playing the role of friend of it and the Allied states; It did not take any position on the Allied invasion of Iran, but demanded oil concessions such as England and the Soviet Union, and then its active role in the Soviet Union’s exit from Iran. from the foregoing it is clear that the political game does not adhere to any rules or principles to follow, as the principle of ”The end justifies the means” is the basic principle of the political player, where interest is in place, the policy is pursued.
