Abstract

ABSTRACT
The study aimed to application of counseling program about women reproductive rights among nursing student on their knowledge and attitude. At faculty of Nursing, Port Said university. A quasi-experimental research (Pre-test/post-test) design. A purposive sample of 92 female nursing students in the third and fourth academic year. Tools of data collection: Structured Interviewing questionnaire, women reproductive rights attitude assessment scale, and women reproductive rights satisfaction scale. ResultsA high statistically significant positive correlation was found between studied sample knowledge and attitude pre and immediately post intervention (r=0.856*). A high statistically significant positive correlation was found between studied sample knowledge and satisfaction pre and immediately post program implementation (r=0.801*). A high statistically significant positive correlation was found between studied sample overall attitude and satisfaction pre and immediate post program implementation (r=1.000*). The study concluded that the hypothesis of present study was supported as the student nurse who attended the counseling program regarding women’s reproductive rights have improved knowledge, attitude and satisfaction compared to their pre intervention levels. Recommended thatthe application of counseling program regarding women rights can improve their knowledge and attitude. A replication of the current study was also suggested in another setting and on another larger sampling.
