The present study attempted to identify the social and economic problems of children in slums in a culture of relative deprivation, It focused on slums and the crisis of life opportunities on children in urban Egypt by shedding light on urban poverty: its patterns and culture, as well as characteristics of slums and relative urban poverty, She also highlighted the problems of slums and focused on the problems of urban slum children, dealing with the living conditions of children in slums, the disadvantages of slum children, the features and characteristics of slum children, patterns of behavior and culture in slums and their impact on children. The risks to children in slums, as well as certain activities and criminal phenomena in slum districts and their impact on children, and then offered social responsibility to protect slum children in urban society. The researcher conducted a field study on the social and economic problems of children in slums in the context of the relative deprivation culture applied to the flat Izbet, one of the slums in Mansoura.
