Abstract This study included 55women (29 term and 26 extremely preterm laboring women) and 17 control non pregnant women that were admitted to Assiut University Hospitals. The study was done in the (Microbiology and Immunology) and (Obstetrics and Gynecology) departments. The aim of the present study is to evaluate the role of the regulatory B cells along with vitamin D status in the maintenance of pregnancy by: Determination and comparison of the frequency of Bregs (CD19+CD24hiCD38hi) in term, extremely preterm laboring women (gestation age below 28 Wks.) and control non pregnant women. Assessment and comparison of vitamin D status in term, preterm laboring women and control non pregnant women.
