Summary of the Study
1- The Problem of the Study
This study seeks to determine the relation between the life stress of diabetics and their social adjustment. The study has been formulated in several hypotheses.
The main hypothesis of the study: There is a statistically significant inverse relationship between the life stress of diabetics and their social adjustment.
from this main hypothesis, the following sub-assumptions are derived:
1- There is a statistically significant inverse relation between the life stresss of diabetics and their relationships with their family.
2- There is a statistically significant inverse relation between the life stress of diabetics and their relationships with co-workers.
3- There is a statistically significant relation between the life
stress of diabetics and their relationships with others.
2- The importance of Study
The study significance, reasons and justifications can be summarized as follows:
1- Health plays an important role in well-being. Many people who suffer from diseases that prevent them from feeling comfortable and enjoying life like any normal person. Thus, a great attention should be paid to health in order to lead a happy life.
2- Providing a set of important data on the correlation between diabetes and life stress, which can be used later in setting up programs for diabetics that take into account their psychological and social conditions.
3- Providing natural numbers that help increase the rate of social harmony for people with diabetes
4- - This study copes up with the contemporary growing interest of social service in investigating the forms of life pressures experienced by clients in various areas of life in general, and diabetics in particular.
5- The scarcity of research and studies - to the researcher’s knowledge- that have dealt with this topic as they focused on the organic side and neglected the social and psychological one.
6- The assertion of many recent literature and the results of some research and studies on the possibility of relying on the requirements of a life model in alleviating the rate and type of stressful situations and its negative effects on diabetics in the various fields of practice.
3- The Study Objectives
This study seeks to achieve the following main goal:
”Determining the relation between the life Stress of diabetics and their social adjustmenty”
from this goal the following objectives are derived:
1- Determine the relationship between the life stress of diabetics and their relationships with their family
2- Determine the relationship between the life stress of diabetics and their relationships with co-workers
3- Determine the relationship between the life stress of diabetics and their relationships with others.
4- Try to reach a proposed pr ogram from the perspective of life model of case work to relieve the stress of living for diabetics that lead to their social adjustment

This study is a descriptive study .
6- Methodology:
A radomely sampled surveyfor diabetics in Al Qusiya Cuntral Hospital (n= 104)
7- The Study Tools:
1- Diabetics’life stress scale
2- Diabetics’ social adjustment scale
8- The study Domains
a) The spatial domian:
Al Qusiya Central Hospital
b) The human domian:
A random sample of 104 diabetics
c) The time domain:
the period it wil take to collet data and draw coclusions and recommendations
9- The study findings:
There is a statistically significant inverse relationship between diabetics’ life stresses and their social adjustment.
1- There is a statistically significant inverse relationship between diabetics’ life stresses and their relationship with their families.
2- The presence of an inverse relationship with statistical significance between the life pressures of diabetes patients and their relationship with co-workers
3- The presence of an inverse relationship with statistical significance between diabetics’ life stress and their relationship with others.
4- Reaching a program proposal to ease the lifs stress among diabetic that lead to social adjustment
