Abstract The wireless sensor networks (WSN) is a distributed network for gathering the information in a particular area. This region usually deployed in accessible places to provide solutions to a wide range of applications, such as environmental, medical and structural monitoring. The central node used for gathering information is known as the sink node (destination node). Two major obstacles are associated with developing WSN. These are the anonymity of sink node location and the restricted battery power of the network. This thesis proposed an energy harvesting techniques for wireless Cluster Head sensor nodes. Two models are the super capacitor, which provides long lifetime for the sensor node, and the photovoltaic model, which includes solar panels that convert the sunlight into electricity supplying to senor . Moreover, the proposed models can improve the network security by implementing a protocol that can hide the location of the sink node, where proposed profile of the sink node allows it to be as a high target for attack. MATLAB simulation and MULTISIM programs are used in simulation for the proposed models of energy harvesting techniques. The anonymity factor for conventional method(first scenario) was about 3%. using energy harvesting technique decrease the anonymity factor less than 2% that decrease adversary chance in finding the location of sink node on the first guess. |
