Abstract
Schools of Nursing are currently being challenged to transform nursing education and clinical nursing experiences to meet the changes and challenges in the health care system. Also, nursing educators and students’ experiences in a clinical learning may have profound impact on learning whether positively or negatively. Experiences; including application of theory to practice, effective mentoring and constructive feedback positively influence learning. Nonetheless, poor relationships with clinical staff, lack of support from school administration and lack of challenging learning opportunities are some of the negative experience that may affect students’ learning. These experiences may differ from one clinical learning environment to another as organization of clinical education differs from place to place or country to country. The present study aimed to identify nursing students and educators’ perception toward clinical instructional experience at secondary technical nursing schools. Descriptive design was utilized to achieve the aim of the study. The current study was carried out at Secondary Technical Nursing Schools associated with Directorate of Health affairs in Menoufia Governorate includes seven schools namely as: Menof , Elbagour, Shibin Elkom, Tala, Elshohada, Berket Esabeh, Ashmon. It included two subjects; all (92) nursing educators in three years who were working in predetermined setting during the time of data collection and all available third year (195) nursing students who are enrolled in (2018- 2019) year.
