BIA has important role in assess nutritional status of the patients and body compositions and help in determine the nutritional need to every patient. Omega 3 has important role in reduction of chemotherapy related toxicities. The Patients of this study divided into two groups. group A included 30 patients of CRC treated by chemotherapy with or without radiotherapy and with nutritional support without omega3. group B included 30 patients with CRC received chemotherapy with or without radiotherapy and with nutritional support with omega3.There were no significant differences of The patients characteristics between the two groups as regard age, sex, smoking, tumor stage and surgical excision. Also, basically there were no significant differences in all nutritional assessments of the patients between the two groups as regard NRS score, performance score, all items of BIA, albumin and CRP.Before the third cycle, NRS was higher (worse ) in group A than group B with significance between two groups . BMI was maintained more in group B than group A with significance |
