Abstract Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the sixth most common cancer and the third leading cause of cancer-related death. According to the most recent report, liver cancer has the second highest mortality rate immediately following lung cancer.Aim of work: The aim of this study is to compare Albumin bilirubin grade versus Child Pugh score as a predictor for liver cell failure after liver resection for hepatocellular carcinoma.Conclusion: Based on the findings of our study, it was evident that ALBI grade was more sensitive and specific predictor for post-hepatectomy liver cell failure when compared to the Child Pugh score. |
