Abstract Hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection is a global health problem. It is the second most common chronic viral infection in the world with a global prevalence of about 3% (170 million people). Egypt has the largest epidemic of hepatitis C virus in the world. The overall prevalence (percentage of people) positive for antibody to HCV was 14.7 % in 2009 to 10.1% in 2016. Heart failure (HF) is a global public health problem affecting an estimated 26 million people worldwide, HF is a major cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide and has significant negative impacts on quality of life, healthcare costs, and longevity. |
