Abstract The efficient of wind technology into a building design may contribute to achieving its energy sufficiency. This integration, which is called building integrated wind technology, require a tool that helps the architects to determine to what extent location suits the utilization of wind technologies via the use of suitable integration methods. To design this tool , the study depends on the following approaches: first, reviewing wind energy in the built environment and building integrated wind technology to conclude the variables that affect the determination of suitable integration; second, introduction a systematic framework based on the concluded variables up to analyzing some international buildings integrated with wind technologies to evaluate the framework effectiveness; and finally, the study designs an efficient integration program (WT EFFICIENT-INTEGRATION program) and examines it on some proposed projects in Egypt. |
