Abstract In this research, we address the issue of the effectiveness of cooperative learning on the development of reading comprehension in French among the students of the Ali Mubarak preparatory school in Ismailia. For the teaching of reading comprehension to be effective in the preparatory school and to become more adequate and satisfying, first of all, the researcher chooses the cooperative learning strategy by proposing three units of the book Le Mag 2, First, she applied a pre-test and then applied these three units to a sample of the students in the second preparatory year, to forty students, twenty of which were in the experimental group and twenty in the control group. She applied the posttest; she did the analysis of the results of the pre/posttest, which showed that there is a clear positive impact of the cooperative learning on the school completion also on the development of the few skills of reading comprehension. The researcher chose in this research the steps of the quasi-experimental method, and she did an analysis of the data and she did the static processing of the data and presenting the results and suggestions and recommendations. |
