Abstract N-(5-(2-oxo-2H-chromene -3-yl)-1,3,4-thiadizol-2-yl) benzamide (CThB) has been investigated in the powder and thin film form . Thin films of CThB have been prepared by a thermal evaporation technique. Structure and optical properties of CThB have been measured under two separated influence; effect of annealing and the other effect of UV- irradiation for reveal time. Spectrophotometric measurements are used to measure transmittance and reflectance at normal incidence of light at wavelength range 200 – 2500 nm. This experimental data are used for calculating the absorption coefficient, refractive index, dispersion parameters, and the optical band gap . AC and DC measurements were performed on the bulk form with thickness 0.11 cm. |
