Abstract The scope of this thesis is to synthesize, optimize, and characterize pristine BiVO4 and its composites with other metal oxides, graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4), and polyvinylidene difluoride (PVDF). A novel synthesis method named homogeneous precipitation was used. Moreover, these prepared catalysts were tested for photocathodic protection and photocatalytic degradation. This work was divided into four chapters: Introduction and literature survey for previous work on our material and also, our application with different materials. Experimental part which deals the practical experimental carried out to prepare the BiVO4 and the characterization technique to evaluate the prepared samples. This first part deals with the physicochemical characterization and optimization of BiVO4 photocatalyst prepared via homogenous precipitation. Several factors were studied during the preparation of BiVO4 photocatalyst to the best conditions. \ This chapter focused on the applications which selected to confirm the activity of produced samples like. Photocathodic protection. Photodegradation for MB dye. |
